A magical day
,
“Magical day in London – lovin’ life” - that was my facebook status after spending the day with my Spanish friend Berta Bernad and our friend Bennie Gray, who gave us a personal tour around London. We met up at Dance Works (Oxford Street) which is London’s leading dance studio and watched a ballet and tango class. They offer dance and fitness classes of the highest quality and Berta and I were luckily given a free membership, so I need to go back there soon and start working out!
Afterwards we walked around the corner to Gray’s Antique Center at Davies Street . Gray’s was established by Bennie Gray in 1977 and is the epicentre of the art and antique dealing world. I didn’t know about Gray’s, but when I walked into the beautiful nineteenth century terracotta building I was sold. There was an amazing selection of vintage costume jewelry, antique jewelry, fine antique silver, porcelain and glass. It was heaven for a vintage lover like me. Gray’s is definitely worth a visit and is open Monday-Friday 10am-6pm, and many dealers are open Saturdays 11am-5pm aswell.
We were lucky with the weather, so it was perfect to cruise in a convertible towards Alfie’s Antique Market at Church St. Bennie opened Alfies back in 1976, when half the shops in Church Street were boarded up and there was a terrible problem with vandalism. (more…)
Blonde bodystocking
,This is sexy.. It guess it would be easy to find something similar in vintage shops.. I can’t wait to browse the markets at Brick Lane again this weekend. It is always so inspiring and I always get so many nice bargains.
Pineapples
,I’m loving my new pineapple tee which you can find in H&M stores now. I just found these images with pineapples and now I feel like eating pineapple.. The black pineapple tee is unfortunately sold out and aswell found on a kids website!
I’m spending Easter with my family in Berlin, so meanwhile you can follow my updates on my Istagram @spotding. My sister got a new Valentino bag that I will show you later. I’m so jealous! x
Vintage coat
,I fell in love with this gorgeous vintage coat at Brick Lane Market on Sunday.. I wish I would have bought it, although I was thinking that I should buy Spring/Summer clothes instead of winter clothes. It is so cold in London these days so it would have been very convenient to have it. My hair is getting long again you see? it’s been a year since I cut it short, remember? Time goes by so quick, its really scary! Last week I got a new fringe, which I’m really happy about, and here I’m wearing my favorite hat at the moment. I feel a bit like Edie Sedgwich which also is one of my style icons. x

Harriet’s world
,I love this pink editorial with wonderful Harriet Verney in the latest issue of TANK magazine, photographed in her family home in Gloucestershire, England. I met Harriet during Distortion Festival in Copenhagen last Summer, where she was covering the festival for I-D magazine. She is niece to the late great Isabella Blow and a true original in her own right. Harriet is only 19 years old and runs the British PIGMEE magazine and 123store online store. Check it out for some undiscovered and renown British fashion.
